Aspect Glass Design

Welcome!

aspect glass stained glass collage

Based in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Aspect Glass is a tiny but productive glass studio specialising in kiln-formed glass and traditional cold-worked glass.

Although glasswork in general is a difficult, time-consuming and potentially dangerous process (sharp edges, very hot kilns), I love the intensity and radiance of glass, and mainly use bold colours and geometric abstract patterns. My fused glassware range includes dishes and coasters, suncatchers and decorations, keyrings and fridge magnets. I also produce large fused glass tiles and cooker splashbacks, and panels for wall-mounted lighting.

As well as fused glassware, I make Tiffany-style (otherwise known as copper-foil method) lampshades and decorative panels to commission, as well as one-off pieces for general sale.

I also recycle discarded glass bottles into a variety of useful items, like flattened bottle clocks, ashtrays, spoon rests etc, always popular at market and craft events, there is something pleasingly quirky about a clock that used to contain your favourite beer!

Examples of my work are featured in the gallery. Commissions are always welcome, if you'd like to enquire about this or about prices or anything else, please e-mail. Because stock changes so frequently, there is no online purchasing system on the website, but I deal with all order enquiries personally and am happy to post/deliver items.

Where can you buy it?

Most weekends I sell my work direct to the public at craft markets in Glasgow. Check the where to buy page for details.
